There are two main skills that any fashionable woman must posses: knowing how to combine colors, and knowing how to accessorize. Today we will talk about accessorizing as it seems that most women find this part to be more challenging. Not all of us posses that 6-th sense which allows us to think of the perfect accessories for each outfit. However, if you follow some simple guidelines, you can rest assured knowing that you will never make any serious fashion mistakes.
How to wear statement necklaces
While there is not a general rule of wearing statement necklaces, there are a few guidelines that you can use in order to make the right choices. For example, rhinestone necklaces work with any type of shirt, even with a denim shirt. Neon necklaces also look good on denim. For buttoned shirts, go with delicate, elegant necklaces, and with deep cleavages, choose bulky, opulent necklaces. Moreover, any simple dress will look better with a statement necklace, and you can even wear necklaces with turtleneck shirts.
How to choose the right handbag for any outfit
If you are wearing a simple, monochromatic outfit, you can always make it more special by accessorizing it with a brightly colored over-sized handbag. An office outfit will always look better with a dark shade, stiff bag with clean cuts. However, avoid black purses when wearing colorful summer outfits. Matching your handbag with your shoes is not recommended, but you can match the handbag with your necklace or with your blouse.
How to match your jewelry
When it comes to matching various jewelry pieces, you’re better off not doing it. Some jewelry sets feature matching earrings and medallion. If they are very delicate, they are acceptable, but when it comes to opulent jewelry, avoid matching the earrings with the necklace. In fact, if you wear an opulent necklace, you are better off not wearing earrings at all. If you insist on wearing them, choose small earrings which only match the color of the necklace, but not the overall design.
How to highlight your waist with belts
Belts are very easy to wear. For starters, don’t wear big, wide belts over cardigans. Cardigans look better with slim belts. Moreover, don’t wear a big belt over a plain blouse, unless you are wearing high waist pants or a high waist skirt, and the belt marks the point where the blouse and the bottom piece meet. As far as metallic belts go, the safe thing to do is to only wear them with all black or all white outfits.
